Advancing STEM in the Egyptian Public School Curriculum
In countries such as Egypt, where agriculture is the primary source of economy, most kids drop out of school to become farmers. Through STEM, I plan to keep kids in school, foster a deep love and passion for STEM, and diversify the talent pool of the next generation.

The Ripple Effect: Hand Washing and Health
In Ghana, around 4,000 Ghanaian children die each year from diarrhea. Hand washing is estimated to reduce these deaths by up to 50%. My project proposal aims to encourage hand washing by raising awareness through educating students, teachers, and families. My overarching goal is to improve the well-being of all Ghanaians.

A Common Vegetable Garden in Kenya
I have the idea to offer a space, gathering a community around a green space where together we could grow healthy fruits and vegetables. The concept has been broadly translated into an integrated network of open spaces that serve as ecological and environmental functions to serve people and biodiversity. I would like to develop a tropical vegetable garden to provide a balanced diet to communities. Let’s find a small space in the slums of Nairobi, plant watercress and tend the garden.

Ending World Poverty
Over 783 million people live off of less than $2 U.S. dollars a day. They can't afford to fill the stomachs of their family. They can't pay for expensive necessities that they need like a roof for shelter and a stove for healthy cooking. I have put together a solution that can help to end their problems. Now, let's get to work!

Solving Deforestation through Seeds and Trees
Genetically modified crops can solve some of the deforestation issues in the Amazon rainforest by decreasing the amount of land needed for agriculture, therefore reducing the harmful effects deforestation has on global climate change. Additionally, fruit trees can reforest land and provide incomes to families in need, ultimately helping to reduce economic inequalities.

Educating Brazilian Women and Minorities About their Rights
I want to create an accessible program that educates Brazilian women and minorities about their rights in easy-to-understand terms. This program would help survivors and people affected by the violence the plagues this country, as well as those who might not otherwise have the resources or knowledge to speak out against injustices. This program would be especially relevant in the wake of the election of President Jair Bolsonaro, who has demonstrated sexism, racism, xenophobia, and anti-LGBTQ+ views in many speeches and statements.

Educating Hungary's Youth, Not Neglecting Their Dilemma
With a declining population and growing dropout rate, Hungary does not have room for the economy growth it needs to develop into an influential and self-sufficient first-world country. By specifically targeting and combatting the high dropout crisis in the country's youth, Hungary will be able to shift the focus on to other problems and develop rapidly from this issue that restricts future growth.

Unstoppable
What if there was a way to break the cycle of poverty for a girl? What if a country's economy soared an astounding 3% more from girls who graduated from secondary school compared to those who didn't? These are true facts that were released in 2016 along with a report that stated that more than 130 million girls were not in school that year and less than 5 million had a secondary education, so lets find a way to bring those numbers down and to put girls in school so they can support their families and communities. Self-expression of a girl is important because she realizes her potential is the most important part of her breaking the cycle of poverty, but why? Girls who realize their potential push themselves to break away from poverty, they fight and they want to change the lives of other girls and women impacted. This is the biggest reason to push for girl's education because when they believe in themselves enough to push others to do the same that's where everyone is happy, from families making an income to girls getting educated it's a win for everyone. Reading this essay, I hope you try to find a reason to support girls education, this issue deserves to be recognised as a global issue and world leaders need to recognise it's significance and the goal of getting all girls in school should be a reason that inspires all of us to fight for the girls who aren't in school. There are many sides of the issue that I don't engage in except to include the facts which depending on what the issue means to you can vary. In that regard, I ask that you respect the efforts done by nonprofits and NGO's and to respect the global leaders working on this issue.

School Farming in Kenya
Children will learn how to use maintain a farm at school using effective and sanitary practices that they can teach others in their community. They will also learn how to use various products from their farm to cook clean and healthy meals so they are not hungry at school. No child should go to school hungry. At school, they will be taught basic first aid skills to help decrease the transfer of diseases. Hopefully with these new skills students will to able to improve their way of life and remain healthy, while learning how important equality is.
